Trauma and trauma related disorders is a new category in DSM V. A great deal of interest and research have been generated as a result.

a. Is it possible for psychologically well adjusted persons to develop PTSD in the face of a traumatic event, or should a mentally healthy person be expected to cope well with even extraordinary stressors without developing symptoms of a disorder? (Keep in mind that not everyone develops this disorder in the face of trauma.) (10pts.)

b. Which theory of Dissociative Identity Disorder seems the most correct to you? Explain your choice, and explain why you did not select at least one of the other theories presented in the text. (10pts)
