The methodology should be described in such a manner that it is readily apparent to the reader how the proposed research approach will contribute to solving your stated problem and answering your stated research question(s). The discussion of your proposed methodology is intended to demonstrate the scope, depth and soundness of your proposed research effort.

2.Population from which the data will be collected

3.Manner in which the sample group(s) from the population will be selected

Regardless of the type of research methodology, or combination of methodologies, you are proposing, your methodology section shall include a clear and concise discussion regarding whether or not you are proposing the participation of human subjects in your research. Human subjects participation includes any research related activity involving living individuals (including both adults and minors) from whom you propose obtaining data or information through the use of surveys, questionnaires, interviews, polls, tests, observations, etc. that are administered directly or indirectly, individually or in group settings, or via telephone, e-mail, U.S. mail or online.

Use the future tense when describing your proposed research methodology in the methodology section of your research proposal. The research methodology is typically approximately one-half to one page in length. Use a hard page break at the end of the methodology section.
