Argument Formula:

STATE your argument/position

Premise 1: One reason for your argument
Premise 2: Another good reason for your argument
Apply the theory that supports your argument: explain how that theory agrees
with your position
OPPOSING view: Consider the position that disagrees with yours
REFUTE opposing view: Explain why the opposing view is not right and reaffirm
your argument

3. You will use your scholarly research in your Premises to help
you make your argument. That means you don’t have to do it alone! So, use your
research well.
