You are a new family law paralegal in a small family law firm. As you prepare to assist with the initial client interview, how would you explain the types of family law issues your firm handles to the client? What issues could you tell them they can expect to encounter in a family law case?

From a paralegal perspective, explain at least two ethical “dos” and two ethical “don’ts” you should consider with respect to the initial client interview of a new family law client. Why are these ethical issues important considerations for you as a family law paralegal? What impact could they have on a client’s case?
