Writing about Gnostic myth and ritual

After reading the chapter, find three of our core terms that you want to discuss AND compare to another tradition we’ve studied thus far. For example, you may want to talk about apotheosis in Gnostic baptism and compare it to the Upanisads. Or, you may want to talk about soteriology and compare Gnostic baptism to the Zoroastrian Yasna. Or, cosmic dualisms are ripe for comparison to any school we’ve studied thus far. The possibilities are endless!

For each of your three paragraphs, please include a short quote from Brakke (See attached file) and, if possible, a short quote or specific example from the tradition to which you will compare. Then, as usual, pose a question for further discussion.
