Guidelines You will write a paper for this assignment that addresses the prompt below. Your assignment submission should be 250–500 words in length. It should contain proper grammar, be free of spelling errors, and reflect critical thinking.  Prompt As you look at your future career options, pick one, and address how cardiovascular disease could impact those you work with. Later, you will write about how you can help them so think through the problems carefully as it will help in your future paper. 2ND ASSIGNMENT Choose the sport of your choice. Your task is to create a 1-week strength training and cardiovascular conditioning program to address the fitness needs of an athlete in this sport along with a nutrition plan (3 pieces). In this program, you are to address the following components: For the Strength Training part of the program: Which strength training exercises will this athlete perform each workout for the week? How many days will the athlete perform each exercise during the 1-week period of time? How many repetitions will this athlete perform of each exercise chosen? How many sets of each exercise will the athlete perform in each workout? What length of rest will the athlete have between each set and between each exercise performed in the exercise session? How heavy will the weights be (ie, what percentage of maximum effort will the athlete perform each exercise at)? Percentages of maximum effort will typically range between 40%–100% to be most effective. Present your 1-week strength training program in a table so that each required component of the program is clearly displayed.  Below your program, present a brief rationale for your program design decisions. For the Cardiovascular Conditioning part of the program: Which cardiovascular exercises will the athlete perform during the week? How many days will the athlete perform each exercise during the week? How long will the athlete perform each exercise? How intensely will the cardiovascular conditioning exercise be performed? You may present this information in the table with your strength training exercises or in a separate table with this information clearly presented. Below your program, present a brief rationale for your program design decisions. Your Nutrition Plan: Lastly, you will create a 1-day meal plan that this athlete may use to optimize nutrition for the day and maximize performance for the day’s fitness activities. This meal plan should include foods that address energy needs as well as optimize vitamin and mineral intake to support performance goals for the day. This meal plan does not need to include calorie counts for each food but instead should include portion sizes for all foods selected. In your 1-day meal plan, you should address the following meals: Breakfast Lunch Dinner Snacks You should present this information in a separate table with each meal for the day clearly presented. Below your nutrition plan, present a brief rationale for your food choices.
